Enschede Marathon cancelled due to corona virus

Enschede Marathon, which would be organized on Sunday, April 19, is canceled. The Twee van Enschede on Saturday evening, April 18, has also been canceled, so as the conference “Get Ready” on April 16. The running event, which is scheduled to be held for the 52nd time this year, cannot take place due to the continuing threat of the corona virus.

The organization has had to make the decision after intensive consultation with various authorities and considers it irresponsible to organize an event of this size at this time, in which a great appeal must be made on the medical capacity which is now of course under severe pressure.

Of course the health of all participants, volunteers and supporters is paramount. And given all the developments in recent days / weeks, we unfortunately have no choice but to cancel the event.
