Start young and you will continue when you are old.

Begin at a young age!
You can choose from 10 different starting locations. There must be one in your area! And if you also want to fight for a cool spot on the stage, you can also participate in the KidsRUN in the center. Here the first three “super fast champions” are honored on the stage where the winners of the marathon also receive their prizes. This KidsRUN only starts at 3.15 p.m., so there is plenty of time to chill in between and recover from your morning performance. Your bib number is therefore valid at the various KidsRUN locations! This way you can walk in your own neighborhood in the morning and participate in the KidsRUN in the center in the afternoon.

Enschede Marathon organizes the Humankind KidsRUN in collaboration with Sportaal.

Online registration for the Humankind KidsRUN is open this year until Saturday 11 April 2026!

• Register online up to 14 March: race number with name will be sent to your home address by post.
• Register online from 15 March to 9 April: no name on the race number; with your confirmation email you can collect your race bib at the start location. Due to the expected crowd, please pick up your race number at least 30 minutes before the start.
• Collect race number / register on site:
• Saturday 10 April: registration desk Connect-U (Ariënsplein 1, Enschede)
• Sunday 11 April: special booth at the start location. Due to the expected crowd, please pick up your race number at least 30 minutes before the start.

Please note: with online registration up to and including 14 March, you will receive a race number with first name, sent to your home address. Registrations after 14 March will no longer include these options.

– Pre-registration via the website up to 14 March 2027: € 3.50 (with name on race number, sent by post). 

– Pre-registration via the website up to 10 April 2027: € 3.50 (without name on race number). Due to the expected crowd, we kindly ask you to pick up your race number at least 30 minutes before the start at the special booth at the start location.

– Registration at Prismare (Roomweg 167) in Enschede from 15 March to 9 April: € 3.50 (without name on race number)

– Registration at the Connect-U registration desk (Ariënsplein 1, 7511 JX Enschede) on 10 April: € 4.00 (without name on race number)

– Registration at the start location on 12 April: € 4.00 (without name on race number). Due to the expected crowd, please pick up your race number at least 30 minutes before the start.

Tips
– Write a phone number on the back of the race number.
– Children from grades 1 through 4 may be accompanied during the KidsRUN by (a maximum of) one parent or guardian.

Group registration
– Group registration is only possible for schools and companies, not for groups of friends (private).
– Race numbers will not be sent by post. Race numbers must be collected by one person at the marathon office or at the registration desk in Enschede.

What will you receive on 11 April?
– Your race number (with name if registered online by 14 March)
– A real ‘grown-up’ medal
– Water and a healthy snack, sponsored by Jumbo

Programme Humankind KidsRUN City Centre
Children who already participated earlier with their race number at one of the other locations in the city may participate again in the city centre. 

• 14:45 – 15:00: Especially for the start of the KidsRUN City Centre, the Fit&Fun Team of Humankind will provide a fun warm-up on the stage. 
• 15:00 – 15:10: After the warm-up, the children will be guided from here to the start.
• 15:15: Start at the start arch (Boulevard 1945 near the Alphatoren). For safety reasons, there are two start zones:
  Zone 1: children grades 5 to 8 (8–12 years)
  Zone 2: children grades 1 to 4 (3–7 years) and parents*
  *Children from grades 1 through 4 may be accompanied during the KidsRUN by (a maximum of) one parent or guardian. We kindly ask everyone to follow the instructions of the organization and the supervisors on site.
• 15:20 – 15:30: Finish at the finish arch (Boulevard 1945 near the Alphatoren). After finishing, each child receives a medal, a bottle of water and fruit.
  Important:
  Parents may stand along the route to cheer for their child. Please note that the distance and the available time are limited in order to return to van Heekplein in time afterwards. After the event, the organization will escort all children back together to van Heekplein, where they can safely be reunited with their parents.
• 15:40: Prize ceremony at the warm-up stage on H.J. van Heekplein.
