On Sunday, April 12, all shower facilities will again be housed in the H.J. van Heekgarage under the H.J. van Heekplein. Toilets can be found at the start, the finish and along the trail at water and care stations.

To ensure that we can provide participants with a 100% secure way to store valuable belongings, this year, by popular request, we are introducing lockers instead of the traditional free cloakroom.

You can easily book a locker online by following the link included in the confirmation email of your registration. If you have already registered, you can use THIS LINK.

Locker size M:
– A locker costs €5.
– The lockers are 30 cm wide, 20 cm high and 40 cm deep. There is space for 3 to 4 summer coats or 2 to 3 winter coats.

Locker size L:
– A locker costs €7.50.
– The lockers are 30 cm wide, 30 cm high and 40 cm deep.

Important information:
– If you have booked a locker online, you will receive an email on Saturday, April 11th, at 09:00 with the number of your locker and the corresponding pin code.
– Lockers are also available on April 12th. Simply scan the QR code on-site to book a locker (cashless). Booking online has the advantage for you of ensuring a locker and for us of knowing how many lockers to hire.

We aim to make your match experience as comfortable and worry-free as possible and hope to be of service to you!

Every 2.5 km there will be a supply post with water, and every 5 km there will be a post with bananas and sports drinks from SportvoedingWebshop.com. Water sponging is also available at all care stations. After the finish, water and sports drinks will be handed out.

For an overview of all water and refreshment stations, please consult the course map for your distance. The exact addresses will follow.

Are you participating in the Elektramat Marathon and do you want to bring your own sports drink? You can! You can drop off your sports drink on Saturday, April 11, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM at the registration desk Connect-U (Ariënsplein 1, 7511 JX Enschede).

The start number and the letter of the aid station must be indicated on the bottles. It is possible to drop off a bottle at each refreshment station. The maximum height of the bottles is 24 centimeters. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver any bottles taller than this to the respective drink stations.

For an overview of all water and aid stations, see the heading “Water and aid stations” above.

What is important is that it is NOT allowed to cycle on the course itself. This is to guarantee the safety of our riders and to avoid crowds.

Various pacers also start during the whole and half marathon. These pacers are experienced marathon and ultra runners who are able to run as flat a schedule as possible. To drag you through the difficult moments they occasionally let themselves fall back into the group to speak up your courage. They are not only capable of running at a steady and even pace, but can also provide you with tips and advice along the way. Two pacers start per finish time. You can recognize them by the pacer flags in the starting area. Below under “Pacer flags” you will find an overview of the times with the corresponding pacer flag.

Disclaimer: pacers may drop out at the very last moment, for example due to an acute injury or illness. If this is the case, we will do everything we can to find replacements (no guarantee can be given on this, of course).

Enschede Marathon is working with its own tracking app! It is possible to find yourself and view your finishing time after the race, but friends or family also get the chance to follow you live while running the course!

The app can be downloaded in the App and Play store or by scanning the QR code below:

The time registration of all distances takes place with the help of the Racetimer chronotrack chip. The chrono track is a time registration chip that is attached to the back of the start number. Walking with your own chip is not possible.

After the event of April 12, 2026 we’ll place the pictures as soon as possible on our website.

Time clocks can be found at all 5 km points of the course and at the finish. The kilometer points are indicated with signs on the side of the road.

On the day of the marathon, at the end of the run, runners will have the opportunity to have a massage to relax their muscles and improve their circulation. The massage removes waste products (including lactate) from the body faster, resulting in a reduction in muscle stiffness and a faster recovery of the body. This service is offered by SON (Sportmassage Oost Nederland). The location of this is indicated by signs.

Do you have a visual impairment and would you like to walk with a buddy? Let us know who your buddy is via [email protected]. Your buddy can join you for free.

Every participant will receive a well-deserved medal after the finish. Make this medal a unique and personal memento by having it engraved. The costs for engraving are € 6.50 (with pre-registration) and € 8.00 (on the day itself). On H.J van Heekplein you can have your medal engraved at the merchant tent. Also the KidsRUN tops can come here!
